Role and Responsibilities
The Lead Cargo Handler is responsible for overseeing the day to day activity on the dock, supervising other dock workers, loading and unloading trailers for the purpose of transporting a wide variety of cargo, hostling trailers, moving cargo, driving a forklift, or using a pallet jack or other freight equipment for transit. As the Lead, you will manage all incoming and outgoing freight, check drivers in/ out, responsible for keeping the dock organized and clean, and communicate and report directly to the Operations Manager. Effectively and efficiently operating mobile technology and completing all required paperwork.

- Block, bracing, strapping, pad wrapping and securing freight for transit
- Ability to work solo efficiently managing the dock and as a team
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Computer skills required
- Proficiency in cloud based software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong listening skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent multitasking skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
