ComResource is Hiring a Business Analyst Near Columbus, OH
This person would work with the business applications team to support our end users with business application software. This could be packaged and integrated solutions, including ERP/EBS software, Asset Management software, ECM, Relational Database tools, Reporting, BI tools, and internally developed applications. This role will act as a liaison between IT and business owners and software users to resolve production issues, review change requests, gather business requirements, work with current software support vendors to define options for solutions, and create estimates to implement solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide extensive support for all business applications. This would include but not limited to ERP/EBS software, Asset Management software, Cloud Financial software, Enterprise Content Management software, Relational Database ETL tools, Reporting and BI tools, internally developed applications, and any interfaces between our application or with external systems/vendors
- Work with business owners and end users to manage production issues
- Work with internal staff and support vendors to identify root cause of production problems and define options for resolution and future prevention
- Work with business owners and end users to manage change requests. This would include defining scope, defining requirements, defining business process flows(bpfs), getting user signoff of scope/requirements/bpfs, setting priorities, defining options for resolution, and creating estimates to implement solutions
- Work with business owners to define and track testing scenarios and test scripts for current business applications and new solutions. This should include regression testing of any current functionality
- Leads application support and project teams through the completion of all phases of an implementation project
- Evaluates existing dev/ops resourcing models and identify/execute improvement plans
- Navigates through ambiguity; prioritizing conflicting tasks and showing an ability to adapt to changing priorities, when required
- Drives innovation through continuous customer engagement to facilitate appropriate application upgrades and enhancements
- Partners with enablement teams to drive automation and processes across all business applications
- Assist with security/vulnerability resolution, disaster recovery, system administration, programming, system maintenance, database administration, and system availability
- Assist with report writing and data requirements across the organization
- Identifies, develops, and maintains ongoing integration between business systems and between operations systems and business systems which enhance and streamline information delivery
- Work with 3rd party off-site support teams of our business applications
- Assures proper installation, operation, maintenance, and upgrade of company business systems, and associated computer hardware and software
- Develops and demonstrates an understanding of customer and business needs
- Resolves escalated customer and vendor issues
- Ability to oversee applications and equipment during all phases of their system lifecycle: evaluation, implementation, maintenance, and decommissioning
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Previous IT experience as a business analyst and/or developer required
- Experience in existing software solutions preferred. This would include but not limited to the following: Oracle EBS version 12 or higher, Oracle PBCS, IBM Maximo version 7.5 or higher, Hyland OnBase, SharePoint, MS SQL Server/SSIS/SSRS, MS Power Apps/Power BI, and Python software development tools
