ComResource is looking for a COBOL Mainframe Programmer.
We're seeking a talented software engineer to lead an Omnipay development on an IBM mainframe.
Responsibilities:
We're seeking a talented software engineer to lead an Omnipay development on an IBM mainframe.
Responsibilities:
- Work with other teams to build new features and improve standards and services
- Development and unit testing of COBOL and SAS that integrates with other applications in the organization
- Translate detailed requirements into functional system designs
- Work closely with internal and external design, business, and technical counterparts
- Support, maintain, and document software functionality
- Integrate software with existing systems
- Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation
- Maintain standards of compliance
- Implement localization or globalization of software
- At least 10 of COBOL, hands-on troubleshooting, and deployment experience
- Hands-on experience working with end users and line of business to implement and test new features.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and also establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, project team members, supervisors, and employees from other departments
- At least 10 years overall experience in COBOL and SAS
- Working Knowledge and hands-on experience in DevOps tools like Jenkins and GIT
- 10 years of experience with Omnipay Mainframe and understanding of the GUI counterpart
- 3 years of GitHub, Jenkins, and change control
- Experience using Agile methodologies for developing applications
- Undergraduate degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related discipline
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work closely with diverse personality types and understand technical issues
