Columbus Suboxone Doctors is Hiring a Lab Technician Near Columbus, OH

Columbus Suboxone Doctors is an addiction treatment facility performing routine urine drug testing looking for a laboratory technician. This role is responsible for performing laboratory testing, maintaining overall quality in the laboratory, communicating with all members of the laboratory when necessary and following overall CLIA/COLA regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare urine samples for routine testing and analysis
  • Maintain a clean work environment in a laboratory setting
  • Prepare laboratory reagents
  • Monitor inventory of samples and laboratory supplies and order supplies when needed
  • Maintain general maintenance on LC-MS instrument
  • May have to trouble shoot LC-MS issues with remote personnel
  • Maintain quality control and quality assurance reports for laboratory
  • Work with proficiency testing and correlation samples and maintain results
  • Prepare corrective actions when necessary
  • Keep track of final patient reports and make sure providers receive them promptly
  • Work with Laboratory Information System (LIS)
  • May have to collect urine samples, if needed, by management
  • Work under the supervision of laboratory manager, technical supervisor and director
  • Communicate with laboratory manager, technical supervisor and director when necessary
  • Follow CLIA and COLA guidelines and regulations

Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree in a science related field, such as Biology or

Chemistry. Or meet CLIA requirements of minimum 24 credit hours in a science degree with 6 hours in biology and 6 hours in chemistry. May have the experience related to an Associates degree and graduated from a clinical laboratory training program or have minimum 3 months experience in the high complexity laboratory subspecialty being performed.

Working Conditions:

  • The role requires prolonged standing, sitting, bending, kneeling and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Testing personnel will be working with biohazardous and chemical reagents. May work under stressful conditions and will need to possess good communication skills.
