Job Description

The Financial Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring efficient and accurate job bookings and job analysis (fixed, service and T&M). In this role you must possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role will contribute to effective operations and help to maintain the financial health of Convergint Federal through proper project pricing, booking, management and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis:

  •  Assist with the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans. Analyze financial performance against targets and identify areas for improvement or optimization.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyze job performance and revenue calculations to ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with recorded costs.

Project Management:

  • Work with project managers on financial management of their projects Develop financial models to assist with analysis and management of costs on projects. Assist with budget development and pricing.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline financial processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure data integrity. Identify opportunities to leverage technology and analytics to improve financial analysis and reporting capabilities.

Risk Management:

  • Identify financial risks and opportunities, assess their potential impact, and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively monitor key financial metrics and market trends to anticipate and address potential challenges.

Other Duties as assigned within reason of previously listed duties.

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in financial analysis, planning, and reporting, preferably in a technology-driven or government contracting environment. Job pricing – fixed, service and T&M jobs.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and Excel,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint preferred.
