Purpose at Ashley :

As a Traveling Merchandiser, you will be responsible for assisting with execution to support the Regional Merchandising Manager, Visuals, and Merchandisers as a floater to secure gaps within the company standards to meet merchandiser guidelines set within the organization.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with cataloging damaged goods, completing damaged goods reports, and processing items for return
• Organizing the store warehouse and keeping it clean and providing merchandise carry-out service for customers as needed.
• Work with the Regional Visual Manager and store teams to implement changes consistent with the store’s layout plan, customer demands, and product focus.

Create, execute, and audit product tagging and point of purchase (POP) materials.

• Travel with the RVM to complete projects. Perform merchandising, inventory, and warehouse job duties.
• Participate in the W2W inventory and cycle-count processes.
• Train new hires on merchandising standards, inventory control, reports, and floor sample paperwork for merchandisers and store visuals.
• Assist in store set-ups, acquisitions, and remodels as required. Support the Regional Visual Manager in executing visually appealing, well-balanced store product displays.

Travel within the designated market area and occasionally outside to various cities / states.

• Provide support to multiple stores in the designated areas based on market needs.
• Ability to travel with Regional Visual Manager; own vehicle utilization may be required to meet business needs.

What You Bring

• Legally authorized to work in the US.
• At least 18 years old
• 3 years of experience in store warehousing or inventory management support; preferably in furniture retail, preferred
• Regularly lift objects over 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to transport loads of 100 IBS with or without reasonable accommodation
• Associate degree in interior design, merchandising, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Maintain reliable attendance
• Thrive in a team environment
• Complete any additional tasks as assigned by management

Compensation :

This position pays an hourly rate of $21.000 - $21.000.

Profit sharing is available to eligible employees; this discretionary program is dependent on the profitability of the company.
