Do you have Internal Communications experience, and are you seeking a new remote opportunity? Horizontal Talent is helping a respected nonprofit organization recruit an Internal Communications Specialist.

As an Internal Communications Specialist, you will support the organization's mission by designing and implementing omnichannel internal communications plans that inform and engage staff.

You will also develop and implement communications plans to foster an informed and engaged workforce and support a positive and welcoming workplace culture.

In your first few weeks in this Internal Communications Specialist role, you can expect to :

• Produce high-quality content, including blog posts, emails, instant messages, web copy, presentations, talking points, digital signage, and more for various internal communications channels
• Collaborate with different departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment of internal messaging with organizational goals and priorities
• Review and edit written materials for accuracy, concision, clarity, and adherence to the company's style guide
• Coordinate and promote organization-wide meetings, events, and other activities

To apply for this Internal Communications Specialist role, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include :

• At least three years of internal communications experience
• Experience working at a nonprofit, higher education, scientific society, association, or research organization
• Proficiency in internal communication and employee engagement best practices
• Impeccable writing, editing, and presentation skills
• Strategic thinker with good organizational and project management skills
• Fluency n AP Style
• Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building capabilities
