Clayton Medical Associates is looking for full-time Medical Assistant or LPN to join our staff. We prefer one to two years' experience in the clinical setting but are willing to train the right candidate.

Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Rooming patients

· Obtaining/recording vitals and reason for visit

· Reconciling allergies and current medications

· Assisting the provider as directed during exams and procedures

· Managing patient flow

· Telephone triage

· Patient education

· Injection/vaccine administration under provider direction

· PFT/Nebulizer treatments/EKG’s

· In-house testing (urine, strep, flu, etc.) under provider direction

· Prior authorizations for procedures/medications

· Referrals

· Cleaning and sterilizing instruments

Skills/Abilities:

· Maintain a positive, professional working relationship with staff

· Multi-task and prioritize duties while maintaining attention to detail

· Communicate and document clearly

· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

· Provide quality customer service and patient care

· Experience with Allscripts Professional EHR a plus.
