In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. Our legacy Injectable Finished Products (IFP) facility in Clayton, NC is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. The PositionManage & coordinate processes related to accounting for the site. Provide support to internal & external customers, including GBS on matters related to general ledger, intercompany, leasing, fixed assets. Perform local internal controls related to procurement & finance.
RelationshipsAssociate Manager, Finance & Accounting.
Essential Functions
- Main liaison between GBS & local site for accounting, lease & fixed assets questions
- Support accounts payable
- Ensure accurate & timely performance of balance sheet reconciliations
- Support month & year end close as well as internal & external audits
- Prepare intercompany invoices
- Ensure leases are reported according to IFRS16
- Monthly preparation of sales tax reports, assist with supplier exempt classification
- Adhere to internal controls while ensuring accounting procedures comply with GAAP
- Process improvements &/or offshoring of accounting & finance processes to ensure efficient & compliant operations
- Participate in & support project work related to accounting & finance
- Other accountabilities, as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or related field required, or equivalent combination of education & experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of financial accounting experience or equivalent required
- SAP background in business modules preferred
- Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office suite required
- Strong verbal & written communication skills required
- Proven process improvement skills/ability lead departmental process improvement projects preferred
- Problem solving skills preferred
- Strong presentation skills preferred
- Ability to self-prioritize & organize work based on priorities expressed by cross functional teams required
- Ability to execute standard work routinely & effectively required
