About this position
Actively recruit prospective students to the University through high school visits, college fairs, campus tours, on-campus events, and other opportunities.
- Recruit prospective students from specified territory to the University;
- Build and sustain strong working relationships with high school counselors and community college staff members ;
- Sustain a system of visitation and follow-up at select high schools, community and junior colleges, and technology centers, and within communities;
- Maintain communication with prospective students through face-to-face interaction and the recruitment communication plan;
- Disseminate accurate information to prospective students in a timely manner;
- Assist in coordination of campus visit program ;
- Collaborate with recruitment team to develop and carry out recruitment events ;
- Maintain prospective student database;
- Assist Office of Admissions with admissions and advisement as needed;
- Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Admissions, Vice President for Enrollment Management, or President.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as strong oral and written communication skills;
- Organized, flexible self-starter who is willing to work until the job is complete;
- Able and willing to work independently as needed, but employ a team mindset and positive attitude;
- Personal computer skills and the ability to learn new technology;
- Enthusiastic, professional, and a good ambassador for the University at all times.
- Work is performed in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings, and the ability to sit, stand, drive, and walk for prolonged periods of time is required;
- Ability to lift 35 pounds, bend, reach, speak, see, and type is required.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Experience in higher education setting preferred
