Confidential is Hiring a Director of IT Infrastructure Near Cincinnati, OH

Job Overview:

Director of IT Infrastructure will lead our IT infrastructure and Enterprise Support Desk teams to ensure the optimal performance, availability, security, and scalability of our IT systems. You will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and managing the infrastructure and operations strategy, architecture, policies, and standards. You will also oversee the migration of workloads to the cloud and the integration of cloud services with our existing infrastructure.

As the Director of IT Infrastructure, you will work closely with other IT leaders, business stakeholders, vendors, and external partners to align the infrastructure and operations roadmap with the business objectives and priorities. You will also manage the resources and staff of the infrastructure and support desk teams and ensure the delivery of high-quality services and solutions. The Director of IT Infrastructure is a hands-on technical resource and thought leader to the IT team and key partners throughout the business.

To be successful in this role, you should have at least 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations management, preferably in the manufacturing / retail industry. You should also have strong knowledge and expertise in networking, cloud computing, virtualization, and other relevant technologies and platforms. You should have excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and project management skill

Duties:

  • Define and execute the infrastructure and operations strategy, architecture, policies, and standards to support the business goals and requirements.
  • Manage the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, network, backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring systems.
  • Ensure the infrastructure is scalable and flexible to adapt to changing business needs and technological advancements.
  • Lead the design and migration of workloads to the cloud and the integration of cloud services with the existing infrastructure, ensuring the best practices, security, and compliance.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure and Enterprise support desk teams and manage the successful completion of IT Infrastructure projects.
  • Implement and oversee ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management to enhance service delivery.
  • Lead the integration of M&A acquisitions from an IT infrastructure perspective.
  • Sets and measures performance objectives and provides regular one-on-one feedback to all members of the IT Infrastructure and Enterprise Support Desk teams.
  • Develop talent within the department and create ways to better service employees and teams to improve productivity.
  • Deliver major technology infrastructure projects and service improvements; ensure quality, performance, and security while maximizing ROI.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance, availability, reliability, and scalability of the IT infrastructure and operations, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Establish service level agreements and monitor progress toward key service delivery performance indicators (KPIs) or metrics for our IT infrastructure and Enterprise Support Desk.
  • Manage the budget, resources, and staff of the infrastructure and support staff teams, and provide guidance, coaching, and feedback.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and partners, and negotiate contracts and service agreements.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery plan and conduct regular testing and drills to ensure readiness for critical applications.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in IT infrastructure and operations, and recommend and implement new solutions and innovations.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to the IT infrastructure.
  • Regularly review and update IT policies, procedures, and controls to address emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Evaluate and select vendors and technology partners that provide the best value and support for the organization's IT needs.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met and any issues are promptly addressed.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
  • At least 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations management, preferably in the manufacturing / retail industry
  • Experience in migrating workloads to the cloud and integrating cloud services with the existing infrastructure.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Experience in managing the maintenance and transition of legacy systems to new tools
  • Experience collaborating cross brands and departments within IT
