Overview

Provides support for product development, implementation, enhancement and maintenance for all product lines distributed by W&S Agency Group. Coordinates the development and approval of all policy forms and collateral product materials. Provides all introductory materials content and develops product educational and training content for the distribution channels. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible for making an established range of decisions, escalating to Manager when necessary and updating Manager on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

• Product Development Represents W&S Agency Group on Product Implementation Teams (PITs) in connection with product development and enhancement projects. Jointly coordinates new product launches and product enhancements with various shared service areas and Marketing to ensure effective product introductions. Assists Marketing in the idea generation and planning of product-specific sales and marketing materials.
• Product Maintenance Acts as primary liaison between Marketing and Sales in the development of product materials that support and promote Western & Southern Life. Responsible for the review of product-related marketing literature, correspondence and web content. Develops and manages product material on Agency Online (producer intranet) and the public Internet site. Works with all areas of W&S Agency to ensure that Agency Online supports their needs. Represents W&S Agency on product compliance and legislative issues. Works with the Compliance and Product & State Filing departments to assure marketing materials are in compliance.
• Product Training and Sales Support Interacts with internal and external sales staff, communicating product information, providing technical sales support and capturing product feedback. Assists with development of W&S Agency producer training programs designed to improve understanding and adoption of programs and tools. Develops and manages product material on Agency Online (producer intranet) and the public Internet site. Independently creates and assures the timely production of effective marketing and sales materials for the Field and CRC, including supervision of inventory and fulfillment. Coordinates with the Director, Product Development, to ensure accuracy of sales and marketing literature.
• Other Stays current on industry trends through industry publications, research and participation in sales meetings and activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Required)
• Demonstrated thorough knowledge of life, annuity, health, disability and long-term care products.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to convey information to internal and external customers in a clear, focused and concise manner while following proper rules of punctuation, diction and style. Ability to prepare correspondence, reports and forms using a prescribed format.
• Proven project management skills, particularly in the areas of workflow design and process improvement.
• Demonstrated decision-making skills including researching, analyzing and recommending the best alternative for business situations.
• Proven analytical skills, including management report formulation, analysis and interpretation.
• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
• Associate, Life and Health Claims, Accredited Insurance Examiner Life & Health license. Upon Hire (Required)

Work Setting/Position Demands:

• Works in an office setting and requires being in a stationary position for long periods of time frequently while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings. Performs frequent movement of wrists, hands and fingers for continuous computer work. Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects.
