We’re looking for cooks to work at our fun and casual resort restaurant at Campland on the Bay in the beautiful Pacific Beach neighborhood of San Diego (92109).
We need help with cooking, preparing and seasoning soups, burgers, tacos, burritos, pizzas and more. We love creativity and people who love cooking! Help us ensure our standard and special menu entrees look and taste great, and are prepared in a timely manner.
Ideal candidates will have prior experience working as a line and prep cook and can quickly memorize how to prepare menu items.
We hope you’re able to communicate in a professional way with our entire restaurant and bar team as well as team members from other departments.
You also must have a current San Diego County Food Handlers' card, be well-versed in safe, sanitary food handling, follow directions and safety procedures, and report to work on time for scheduled shifts.
A willingness to work on whatever needs to get done and a sense of restaurant urgency is also important to successful job performance.
Campland on the Bay is open every day of the year and this means you must be available to work morning, afternoon or evening shifts on weekdays, weekends and holidays.

On any given day, you’ll do several or all of these tasks :
Required Education and / or Experience
You will perform your job in a kitchen environment, housed with equipment such as an oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, fryer, grill, pizza oven and chef’s knives.
You will experience frequent proximity to hot grills and ovens, steam, hot grease and noise. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Constant standing, reaching, lifting, holding objects with hands. Occasional stooping, pushing and pulling items weighing 50 pounds or less.
The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
