Pathways Behavioral Health Service is Hiring a Direct Support Professional Near Chocowinity, NC
As a caregiver at Pathways Behavioral Health Service, you'll build relationships, improve the quality of life and serve the i/dd community in need of love and care. Your goal will be to help individuals enjoy life by helping them perform their simple daily functions; meals, light exercise, social interactions, etc. Your compassion and diligence as a caregiver will bring joy into the lives of the clients your work with and help them feel encouraged, involved, and loved.
We are looking for two new employees to serve an individual with downs syndrome. She needs verbal prompts and positive redirection to get through her day. The hours are Monday-Friday from 8-5 most days. Some weekend hours will occasionally be needed. Flexibility on start and end times is important.
Requirements:
- CPR Certification
- Experience: At least a few years.
- Skills: We're looking for individuals that are compassionate, social, trustworthy, and service-minded. If you have experience, cooking, cleaning, or caring for others, that's a bonus!
- Characteristics: This is an autonomous position, so we're looking for individuals that are self-motivated and willing to learn through experience and receive feedback monthly from admin staff
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends only
Experience:
- Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Driver's License (Preferred)
