Automotive Technology Instructor Responsibilities:
- Helps coordinate the TCDP (Technician Career Development Plan)
- Providing quality instruction to students through well prepared classes, relevant assignments, fair assessment of learning, clear documentation of student progress, and support of the academic success for all students
- Completes required paperwork and budget tracking
- Works with key company personnel in developing class schedules
- Assesses each technician to identify training gaps
- Attends needed classes to become proficient with various makes of equipment
Automotive Technology Instructor Requirements:
- 1-3 years’ experience as an instructor in a related vocational field, such as automotive or diesel maintenance and repair
- Experience instructing at a technical institute required
- Experience training new hires required
- Administrative/clerical experience
- Supervisory/management experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Ability to use common software programs
