Nexus Staff is Hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist Near Chesapeake, VA

The Talent Acquisition Specialist works together with Hiring Managers to understand hiring requirements and proactively identify strategic recruitment approaches to satisfy those requirements. This role manages the full recruitment cycle for Exempt requisitions and places a priority on identifying high-quality and diverse candidates.
Minimum Qualification:
  • Bachelor's Degree is a must.
Work Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in full cycle recruiting process in a corporate environment.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking software is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruits for Exempt candidates.
  • Attends/hosts job fairs.
  • Will track applicant flow and report findings to supervisor
  • Maintains employee records and adhere to compliance within systems, follow state/federal guidelines, accurate and detailed in communication and offers.
  • Connect with new hires to follow up with the onboarding process.
  • Obtain signatures on new hire paperwork through DocuSign.
  • Create a new employee HR file, complete with original signatures.
  • Meets one on one with internal candidates regarding turndowns and to offer feedback and coaching.
Expected Results:
  • Achieve a 100% staffing requisition fill rate with high-quality candidates.
  • Manage the coordination of internal and external Exempt positions, including screening, interviewing, and presenting final recommendations to Hiring Managers.
  • Maintain the quality of candidates by using all necessary assessments
  • Proactively recruit in all necessary areas to ensure the quality of candidates
Desired Skills:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, to include Microsoft Teams
  • Strong Interpersonal and Communication skills - verbal, written, presentation, and facilitation
  • Ability to assess talent (knowledge, skills, abilities) of applicants in comparison to position requirements.
  • Ability to handle high volume and manage multiple projects with urgency.
  • Attendance, punctuality, and flexibility are required.
