Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join Eastern Virginia Foot and Ankle. We are podiatrists specializing in foot and ankle conditions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support and customer service to patients and medical staff.

Responsibilities:

- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and manage incoming calls
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain calendars
- Verify patient insurance information
- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks
- Maintain electronic health records accurately and update any changes promptly during the work hours
- Handle patient inquiries and provide necessary information
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow

Experience:

- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Experience with medical scheduling software and learn fast to use the software
- Previous experience in medical administrative support
- Knowledge of phone systems and handling multiple lines
- Familiarity with medical office procedures, including ER or dental office settings and how the patient triage work
