We are looking for a Paint Sales Representative for our Paint Department and Sales Floor. As a Paint Sales Representative, you will be responsible for preparing customers' paint orders quickly and accurately, which involves tinting and mixing paint. You will also be responsible for helping in retail sales and stocking products throughout the store. This is an hourly commission position.

Responsibilities include:

• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional customer service
• Assist customers with their paint, stain, or other project by offering helpful advice
• Mixing paint using a computerized tinting machine
• Ability to coordinate colors and matching paint colors using a color matching machine
• Acknowledge customers and inquiring about customer's project or problem and providing a solution.
• Communicating professionally in person and by phone
• Develop ongoing and new, relationships with customers
• Maintain a professional image of the company
• Emphasizing product/service features and benefits of Bernard Building Center
• Helping our buyers to develop, and learning about new products when possible
• Building and fostering a network of referrals to create new opportunities for sales growth
• Following up with customers regarding potential projects
• Actively managing your schedule and time to adequately service our customers
• Assist in other departments or with other job duties as assigned by the manager

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
• Proficiency in retail sales and ability to conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits to customers
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers
• Basic math skills for accurate transactions
• Experience with cash registers and POS systems
• Prior experience in customer service, upselling, and merchandising in a retail environment
• Excellent organizational skills to maintain a tidy and appealing sales floor

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
