General Summary/ Overview:

Under the general direction of both the Provider System Senior Manager and the Director of Provider Enrollment, the incumbent’s duties will focus primarily on MD-Staff Data and Provider Enrollment support. S/he will focus on provider data stored in MD-Staff and its use for delegated payer reporting with focus on QA, testing, and document management for the assigned areas as well as other enterprise initiatives that fall under MD-Staff. The person in this role is expected to have extensive knowledge and experience with databases and data manipulation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The individual will participate in MD-Staff data management and support provider enrollment activities, including:

  • Participate in the testing, implementation, support and ongoing maintenance of new and existing Payer enrollment initiatives while leveraging data stored in MD-Staff.
  • Develop expertise regarding MD-Staff and Delegated Payer Reporting requirements.
  • Perform system testing/quality assurance, including the creation of testing scenarios and execution of testing scripts.
  • QA system data for accuracy specific to payer requirements.
  • Create data transfers between MD Staff and various payer systems.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and accurately document problems and their probable causes and work closely with MGB facilities to identify, test and implement solutions for MGB enterprise wide goals.
  • Possess skills in document management to assist with the creation, management and versioning of system and user documentation.
  • Seek and accept mentorship from those with sophisticated experience.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with various Digital teams and other related integration teams (development and interface groups).
  • Provide on-call support on a rotating basis (24x7).
  • Communicate project status to senior management and other team members.
  • Work optimally with project teams across many functional areas.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for process improvement.

The individual will also participate in the planning, management and oversight of assigned projects while utilizing recognized project management methodology including such activities as:

  • Definition of project scope and objectives
  • Management and status reporting tools
  • Function requirements (specifications) definitions
  • System testing/quality assurance
  • Project administrative activities
  • The individual must insure completion of all work assignments in accordance with established project timelines.
  • The individual must establish and build a positive project team environment through leadership, product ownership and collaboration with other team members.
  • The individual must function both as an individual contributor and as a great teammate within Mass General Brigham’s Digital and the Mass General Brigham HealthCare community at large.
  • The individual must be flexible and responsible in working on project teams with formal and informal reporting structures within Mass General Brigham’s Digital and MGB Revenue Cycle Operations teams.
  • The individual must provide quality customer service and serve as an outstanding representative of the Provider Systems team and MGB Revenue Cycle Operations. Ongoing communication, feedback and follow-through with customers/peers are crucial.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree required.

Five or more years of experience in computer systems or health care is preferred.

Strong PC skills desired, including knowledge of MS Office suite software specifically Access and Excel.

  • The ability to understand the work environment and its competing priorities in conjunction with meeting project goals.
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize work accordingly.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The individual will have no direct reports, though they may indirectly provider leadership and guidance to project team members.

Fiscal Responsibility:

The individual will have no direct fiscal responsibility

  • This position is a combination of remote and on-site as needed.
  • Hospital work environment working conditions include possible exposure to diseases or infections and may require safety gear (PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)) such as gloves and mask.
  • Normal office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk; or hear; use hands to finger; handle; or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; and stoop; kneel; or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
