Job Title: Phlebotomist

Location: Arlington, Cambridge, and Waltham, MA

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, day shift, no weekends or holidays

Education: High School Diploma, equivalent Phlebotomy certification

Experience: Phlebotomy experience (excluding externship), previous travel experience preferred, inpatient rounds

Responsibilities:

• Conduct phlebotomy procedures at various draw stations across Arlington, Cambridge, and Waltham, ensuring patient comfort and adhering to physician's orders.
• Timely and accurate processing and documentation of specimens to facilitate the smooth functioning of the laboratory process.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient specimen collection and handling.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines pertaining to phlebotomy procedures and specimen handling.
• Participate in inpatient rounds as required, providing phlebotomy services as necessary.
• Maintain up-to-date availability for quick interview scheduling.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in Phlebotomy.
• Prior phlebotomy experience outside of externship.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
• Familiarity with inpatient rounds procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen handling and documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including booster shots, at the time of application submission.
• Local candidates preferred.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
