Discovery Kingdom Childcare is Hiring a Childcare Provider Near Charleston, WV

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Provider to join our team. As a Child Care Provider, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and education to young children. You will have the opportunity to create engaging lesson plans, foster a positive learning environment, and make a difference in the lives of children.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality child care for children.
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care.
  • Provide appropriate emotional and social support for each child's development.
  • Build positive relationships with children, staff, and families.
  • Use positive guidance to strengthen each child's problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Clear understanding and ability to maintain lesson plans using WV Early Learning Standards Framework and Skills Assessments such as Birth to Five.
  • Promote positive behaviors and social skills through effective classroom management techniques.
  • Able to communicate, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
  • Provide developmentally appropriate activities and interactions with children.
  • Maintain a clean and organized childcare environment

Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 25lbs.
  • Must be able to pass WV Cares Background check and Child Protective Check
  • Current First Aide & CPR or willing to obtain upon employment
  • Must have HS Diploma or GED.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must be dependable to provide consistency to the children in the classroom.
  • Must meet basic curriculum, training, and regulatory requirements set forth by DHHR and our center policies.
