We are also engaged in the ownership and operation of select hospitality / entertainment businesses, which include hotels, such as the San Luis Resort, Spa and Convention Center in Galveston, Texas, aquarium complexes, the Kemah Boardwalk, a 40-acre amusement, entertainment and retail complex in Kemah, Texas and the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier in Galveston, Texas.

Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures.

Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.

Provide consistently friendly and efficient service at all times, anticipating guests needs and requests. Set up banquet meal functions as prescribed by the Banquet Function sheet.

Set table according to the instructions from the headwaiter or Supervisor. Provide prompt and professional service during banquet meal functions.

Ensures that guest safety is of paramount consideration in the set-up of the room and in the arrangement and performance of all banquet food service.

Is aware of all functions and activities in the Hotel / Casino during the shift. Attend to guest complaints and requests promptly and refers them to the immediate Supervisor.

Ensure that cutlery, crockery and silverware at the tables are spotless. Ensure that butters, milks, sugars and other requirements are set ready on the station or table before the commencement of the function.

Clear plates and ashtrays promptly to ensure proper service flow. Replenish water, coffee, tea, condiments and other items required to tables and stations.

Serve food and beverage according to Banquet Service standards for the specific function. Maintain cleanliness of function equipment, service stations and banquet benches and surfaces.

Handle equipment with care to avoid accidents, breakage’s and damage. Collect requisitioned food and beverage items from the store rooms and checks accuracy of the order quantities and expiry dates.

Collect linen after completing the Linen Requisition and adheres to the Laundry Departments schedules. Perform any other duties as requested by the Banquet Manager, Senior Banquet headwaiter, headwaiter and Supervisor.

Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility. Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.

Ensure prompt and discrete notification to senior management and / or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts and / or internal ethics violations.

Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.
