About this Role

NorthStar Energy Services is looking for a proposal writer who would be responsible for crafting compelling and persuasive proposals to secure contracts for projects. This role with collaborate closely with various teams, including sales, engineering, and project management, to gather necessary information and insights. This job involves researching client requirements, understanding project specifications, and tailoring proposals to address client needs effectively.

What You'll Do

Estimating Duties

• When an RFP is received from a client, assign a proposal number, create bid folder on estimating network drive, and download all RFP bid documents for the estimators’ reference.
• Post all addendums and revisions in the bid folder.
• Develop a requirements matrix, assigning individuals responsibility for each deliverable.
• Review, format and assemble final documents for submission to client.

Marketing & Sales Duties

• Design, develop and create marketing collateral…brochures, pamphlets, presentations, etc.
• Maintain folders with current employee resumes, organizational charts, Certificates of Insurance, safety data, QA/QC, and associated documents that may need to be provided with proposals and other presentations.
• Order and maintain inventory of logo hats and promotional items.

What You'll Bring

• Associates or Bachelors degree in a related field (English, Communication, Graphic Design…etc.)
• 3 years of experience writing bids or proposals
• Strong attention to detail is required
• Proficient with MS Office (Power Point, Excel, Publisher...etc.) & Adobe
• Creative writing and artistic skills are highly preferred
• Prior experience working/collaborating with sales teams, preferred
