We are currently seeking a cardiac anesthesiologist with exceptional skills and expertise to join our esteemed team at Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston, Maine, where we are committed to providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a supportive and fulfilling work environment! Come join our department of two cardiac fellowship trained anesthesiologists working alongside our cardiothoracic surgeons. Typical casework includes bypasses, valve repair, aortic aneurysm repair, TAVRs, as well as thoracic cases (including robotic VATS). Cardiothoracic cases are predominantly performed MD only with occasional thoracic cases being done in care team model. Cardiac call is on pager Q3 typically in one week stretches. When not covering cardiothoracic cases, our CTAs contribute time to the general ORs alongside 6 general anesthesiologists as well as 18 certified registered nurse anesthetists. Typical surgeries performed include orthopedics, vascular, general, plastics, gynecology, urology, and ENT. No neurosurgery. Bread and butter pediatrics. Strong regional skills are a must! Labor and delivery floor with approximately 800 deliveries per year. Most cases done in the care team model, typical supervision ratios 1:2-1:3 with a strong team of well-trained nurse anesthetists. Operating room day runs from 7AM to 4:30PM, with the precall doc relieved first. Weeknight call is 3pm-7a, weekend call is 24H. Cardiothoracic anesthesiologists typically do approximately one call per month. To attract the best talent, we are offering highly competitive compensation packages. We are offering a generous salary of $585,900 per year in addition to benefits such as: 1.
