Assembler I 

Full-time position on 1st shift. Hiring bonus $500.00 for new hires after 90 days. New starting wage of $18.00/hr.

Must be willing and able to work full-time, overtime and Saturdays as scheduled.

SUMMARY:

The general assembly process may require the employee to work at any station during the workday dependent on staffing and production demands. All employees may be expected to rotate to different workstations, or they may be required to work in a specific workstation depending on experience, training and skill level to perform work tasks. 

POSITION EXPECTATIONS:

  • Locate, learn, and understand assembly instructions from procedures, drawings and standard work instructions.
  • Verifies and inspects work according to standard work.
  • Perform quality checks and tests.
  • Use power, pneumatic, Smart torque and hand tools, where applicable.
  • Adhere to work and safety rules.
  • Good verbal communication
  • Supports and demonstrates a well-organized, safe, and clean workplace.
  • Understands, accepts, and supports the company’s vision and key business goals.
  • Basic understanding, support, and commitment to the team and continuous improvement by getting involved and actively contributing ideas for improvement.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED preferred

CERTIFICATION (if applicable):

  • Leak Check 
  • Nail Gun

Assembler I Criteria

  • Must score a minimum of 13 on the Employees Performance Review (PMP).
  • Must score 8/8 on item # 7 on the Standard Work Audit for the audit performed at the 6-month mark.
  • Complete 4 Safety Fixes per year.
  • Complete 4 to 7 Process Improvements per year. (JDI, 9SPS, RIE)
  • Complete 4 to 7 Quality Activities per year. (Quality poka yoke, or JDI that leads to improvement of DPPM, First Pass Yield, 9SPS or RPN)
  • Successfully completes ¾ of Harvey Ball with 3 – 15 minutes of Manual Cycle Time.
  • Employee Training Record signed off complete.
