We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys in all aspects of the litigation process. Duties:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Organize and maintain case files and documents
- Drafting and proof-reading legal documents such as contracts, motions and pleadings, and filing the same with a variety of courts
- Manage the litigation calendar and ensure all deadlines are met
- Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials by organizing exhibits and witness materials
- Transcribe dictations and prepare accurate summaries
- Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing trial binders and exhibits
- Keeping track of changes in legal framework and providing timely updates on these changes
- Tracking and submitting billable hours
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Litigation Paralegal
- Experience with Construction and Aviation litigation a plus.
- Strong knowledge of legal administrative procedures and practices
- Proficiency in legal case management software
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work product
- Familiarity with proofreading legal documents for errors or inconsistencies
- Strong clerical skills, including filing, copying, scanning, and data entry
- Experience with Clio for case management a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft software including Outlook, Sharepoint, and OneNote
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat for document and bates label creation
- Notary a plus, but not required.
