TITLE: Transportation Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Operations Director

FLSA STATUS: Exempt X Non-Exempt

HOURS: Part-time, 15-20 hours per week (opportunity to go Full-Time)

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Transportation Coordinator would be responsible for transporting Boys & Girls Club youth members by driving Club owned vehicles including van(s) and a bus(requires CDL). The Transportation Coordinator must also adopt the Formula for Impact and ensure that Boys & Girls Club of the Plateau is reaching those who need us most in a safe and inclusive environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Transport Club members from school to the Boys & Girls Club of the Plateau for summer and afterschool programs.
• Assist Club members getting on and off Club vehicles.
• Maintain clean and organized Club vehicles.
• Complete a safety inspection before and after each trip.
• Ensure the safety of all Club members at all times
• Maintain/ensure a safe, clean, and functional vehicle environment
• Maintain/report inventory of vehicle supplies
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

RELATIONSHIPS

• Develop authentic and meaningful relationships with Club members, staff, and volunteers.
• Maintain confidentiality in regard to staff, volunteer, member, and family matters.
• Work with staff members to ensure that program areas are safe, that equipment is maintained in good working condition and that repair needs are reported immediately.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Actively participate in BGCA training(s), internal training(s), and other development opportunities.
• Clean vehicle area as needed at the end of day.
• Participate in field trips with members including outdoor activities.
• Participate in staff meetings as necessary.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to operate motor vehicles.
• Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of Highschool Diploma or GED.
• CDL Class C (P) License preferred or willing and able to participate in the process to secure license.
• Minimum of 1 year experience driving an activity bus preferred.
• Clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and be willing to consent to random drug testing (as this is required to operate a commercial motor vehicle).
• Ability to work regular Club hours
• Dependable, driven, dedicated, and motivated.
• Enjoys and is comfortable working with children.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
