Boys & Girls Club of the Plateau is Hiring a Facilities Coordinator Near Cashiers, NC

TITLE: Facilities Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Operations Director

FLSA STATUS: Exempt X Non-Exempt

HOURS: Part-Time, 20-25 hr/wk (opportunity to go Full-Time)

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Facilities Coordinator would be responsible for maintaining the Boys & Girls Club of the Plateau physical property including grounds, buildings, and vehicles. The Facilities Coordinator must also adopt the Formula for Impact and ensure that Boys & Girls Club of the Plateau is reaching those who need us most in a safe and inclusive environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Keep all Club buses, vans, and vehicles up to date with maintenance and registration.
  • Ensure the safety of all Club members at all times
  • Ensure safety standards are followed throughout the facility
  • Participate in the emergency preparedness planning team and attend bi-weekly safety committee meetings.
  • Complete facility walk-throughs each day - ensuring a safe environment for members.
  • Work on a running list of miscellaneous maintenance tasks and projects as needed.
  • Ensure that assigned equipment is in proper working order and available for use.
  • Maintain all physical space, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment.
  • Receive, manage, and process work order requests; ensuring problems are resolved quickly.
  • Act as liaison between employees and any outside contractors needed to resolve specialized problems.
  • Draft and implement preventive maintenance schedules for buildings, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies; reorders as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Develop authentic and meaningful relationships with Club members, staff, and volunteers.
  • Maintain confidentiality in regard to staff, volunteer, member, and family matters.
  • Work with staff members to ensure that program areas are safe, that equipment is maintained in good working condition and that repair needs are reported immediately.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively participate in BGCA training(s), internal training(s), and other development opportunities.
  • Clean area as needed at the end of day.
  • Participate in staff meetings as necessary.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work requires physical strength and agility to safely perform all essential functions, including the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment without assistance.
  • Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl to maintain equipment and buildings.
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout facilities.
  • Ability to operate motor vehicles.
  • Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of Highschool Diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Ability to work regular Club hours, evenings, and some weekends.
  • Dependable, driven, dedicated, and motivated.
  • Enjoys and is comfortable working with children.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Docs.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
