Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a Business Process Analyst to join our team.

This position will support several project initiatives by streamlining, modernizing, and improving the internal/external user experience. This position will create technical documents and explain complex information clearly in support of requirements gathering and various phases of development and testing.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in technical communications.
• Minimum two (2) years of proven work experience in business process analysis, software development, and/or testing; six (6) to eight (8) years’ experience preferred.
• Must have the skill to operate in both the IT and business realms, enabling effective communication and mediating interactions as needed.
• Highly skilled at writing procedures and building functional diagram flows; IT utilizes the functional actor methodology, and the program team will do the same; experience in this area is preferred.
• Capable of handling several tasks and/or projects simultaneously and efficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Hands-on collaborator who will take charge of building process models, with a primary focus on the conceptual and logical levels.
• Active listening skills to hear and understand the total message that is shared, processing verbal and nonverbal cues, and working to truly understand what is trying to be communicated.
• Ability to learn new tasks in a short time span independently.
• Self-starter with effective problem-solving skills.
• Capable of finding solutions with minimal management advisement; escalates issues appropriately.
• Courteous and professional customer service and interpersonal abilities.

REQUIREMENTS

• Work closely with both technical team members and client stakeholders of varying levels; serve as an advisor and the point of contact for stakeholders to guarantee success.
• Collaborate with the software vendors, internal departments, and product owner teams to manage and prioritize the product backlogs of bugs and enhancements.
• Establish product enhancement requests following recognized procedures including coordinating SMEs and product owners, elicitation of requirements, submission of tickets to the vendor or DevOps tool depending on the system platform, and engage with vendors on analysis, acceptance signoff, and place onto the product backlog for future prioritization and grooming.
• Perform operational needs assessments to help get from the current state to the desired state as it pertains to the key result of improving the user experience; assessment should be easily understood by an audience from any level of the business and provide strengths and identify areas for improvement.
• Highly skilled at writing procedures and building functional diagram flows; IT utilizes the functional actor methodology, and the program team will do the same; experience in this area is preferred.
• Procedures should be easily understood by all audiences and allow users to complete the tasks without prior training.
• Procedures will be used as a guide for the test case development; clearly defined and easy to follow.
• Coordinate UAT once the Release Manager has notified the BPA that the bugs/enhancements are ready for testing.
• Demonstrate the updated fixes to the product owner or their designated representative to obtain approval to move the code to production, once UAT has been successfully performed; additional requests identified during the testing/approval process shall be logged as new PBI items.
• Release note development: use the list of items, i.e., TFS tickets bugs/enhancements; delivered from vendors or IT team and create release notes for the stakeholders, i.e., business teams, IT and executive leadership; include the benefit being delivered within the new release to the end-users and external customers and demonstrate, where applicable, when the bugs in the new release tie back to the guiding principles:
• Logical and efficient process flow
• Fix the backlog of bugs at an accelerated pace and implement new features to make it a much better product for the customer
• Providing enhanced customer service and reducing the demand on employees
• Improve customer security and increase revenue.
• Create videos using MS Teams and/or Stream to demonstrate the new functionality in action; when new functionality is introduced that updates the user interface, i.e., screen changes or process changes.
