Project Description:

GK & Associates currently has a position available for an experienced Construction Manager. The appropriate candidate(s) will have a minimum of 5 years working on Public Works projects including Streets and Street related improvements. It is highly desirable for the candidate to have strong project experience with Slurry Seal preparation and finishing services, including as needed asphalt repairs prior to slurry application, weed abatement, crack sealing, striping and thermoplastic markings and signage. The candidate(s) must also be familiar with document control duties, inspection, coordination between contractor, City departments, public notification, preparing As-Built plans, taking field pictures, preparing daily/ weekly reports, reviewing contractor invoices, verifying DIR compliance and so on. It is a plus if the qualified candidate is also a P.E., and has experience in other Public Works fields such as traffic, water and waste water.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Public Works Street Impartments and the nature of design and construction related projects.
• Ability to anticipate problems and develop solutions to overcome problems.
• Experience and knowledge of Procore document control, Change Orders, DIR compliance, etc.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral.
• Self-starting and motivated to research details and inform management of potential delays and problems
• *Registered Civil Engineer (P.E.) in CA preferred.
• CA driver license required
• Minimum 5 years of experience required
