GK & Associates is Hiring a Construction Manager / P.E. Near Orange, CA

We are currently hiring for the position of Construction Manager (CCM) / Project Manager (PPM) preferably with a Civil Engineering Degree and a wide range of experience to assist on Public Works Construction Projects related to streets, water, wastewater, traffic, and parks. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of project experience in the public works industry. The candidate must be familiar with various responsibilities such as document control, inspection, coordination between contractors and City departments, public notification, preparing As-Built plans, preparing reports, and reviewing contractor invoices. It is highly desirable for the candidate to be a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.).

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of the construction environment and the nature of design
  • Experience and knowledge of handling RFI's, submittals, pay applications, and similar tasks.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and develop solutions to overcome them.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in researching details and informing management about potential delays and issues.
  • Preference for candidates who are registered Civil Engineers (P.E.) in California.
