Manufacturing Manager

Amotec is conducting a search for a talented Manufacturing Manager for a leading multi-national manufacturing company located in the Canton, OH area. This role will play a pivotal part in overseeing and optimizing manufacturing operations to achieve strategic objectives and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Position Summary:

As the Manufacturing Manager, you will oversee production operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing manufacturing strategies, managing day-to-day production activities, and leading initiatives for continuous improvement and cost reduction.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to meet production goals.
• Oversee daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain internal quality standards and meet customer requirements.
• Analyze and establish performance standards, optimizing productivity and minimizing costs.
• Plan and manage labor, equipment, and supply requirements to meet production targets.
• Develop and communicate priorities, measuring performance against them.
• Lead the implementation of effective systems for quality improvement and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to achieve scrap and cost reduction goals.
• Provide effective leadership to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Manage controllable variable costs and staffing levels.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Support cross-training initiatives to enhance workforce skills.
• Administer policies and procedures and provide support to department employees.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 7 years of manufacturing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading teams with strong performance management skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and other relevant software tools.
• Quality-focused and production-driven mindset
• Experience in process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree
