Consolidated Metco is Hiring a Finishing Operator Near Canton, NC

Are you looking for a career in the Manufacturing Industry? ConMet - Canton, NC is currently looking for Finishing Operators to support our Assembly areas.

What You Will Do:

  • Follow written work instructions to fulfill production requirements to meet or exceed customer on-time delivery.
  • Inspect parts throughout the production process to verify quality expectations are being met.
  • Detect and report nonconforming materials to the area lead or direct supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area through regular housekeeping.
  • Maintain accurate internal production records.
  • Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: insert purchase components, prepare the work area, prepare packaging materials, comprehend and follow daily schedule/manifest, assemble/build to the WI, prep parts for assembly, correctly use the computerized labeling system, correctly package parts, report scrap.
  • Must be able to use but not limited to the following tools: gate cutter, welders, packaging materials, utility knives, deburrers, routers, clip pusher, torch, sandpaper, drill, hammer, PPE, fixtures, pliers, screwdrivers, rivet guns, glue guns, hammers, air hoses, staplers, and verification stations.
  • Comply with all plant safety and environmental policies and procedures.

What You Need to Be Successful: 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) strongly preferred
  • Minimum twelve months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to access information on a computer and operate a labeling scan gun
