Description

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with the desire to build relationships and provide superior client-service.

• Prepare and review various tax returns, including but not limited to individual, corporate, partnership, non-profit, gift, and trust tax returns.
• Collaborate with clients to gather relevant financial information and documentation for tax return preparation.
• Conduct in-depth tax research to ensure accurate interpretation and application of tax laws and regulations.
• Identify potential tax credits, deductions, and strategies to optimize clients' tax positions and minimize tax liabilities.
• Assist in tax planning initiatives to provide clients with insights into potential tax implications of financial decisions.
• Stay updated with changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to client scenarios.
• Participate in client meetings and discussions, providing clear and concise explanations of tax-related matters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting and finance, to ensure accurate and timely reporting of tax-related financial information.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of tax processes and procedures, suggesting innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (150 credits highly desired).
• 0-2 years’ experience (can include a tax internship with a CPA firm).
• Desire and determination to become a CPA.
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
• Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to deal appropriately with confidential information and to demonstrate a high level of professionalism.
• Strong community orientation.
• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft applications.
• Knowledge of UltraTax a plus.
