```Duties```
- Oversee the daily operations of the produce department
- Ensure that the department is properly stocked with fresh and high-quality produce
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed
- Create and implement strategies to maximize sales and profitability
- Train and supervise produce department staff
- Conduct employee orientation and provide ongoing training and development
- Schedule and assign tasks to team members
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized department
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints

```Skills```
- Budgeting: Ability to manage department budgets, track expenses, and optimize profitability
- Supervising: Experience in supervising and leading a team of employees
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, employees, and vendors
- Marketing: Knowledge of marketing techniques to promote products and increase sales
- Employee Orientation: Ability to onboard new employees, provide training, and ensure compliance with company policies
- Assistant Manager: Previous experience in an assistant manager role is preferred
- Team Management: Proven ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team to achieve goals
- Cash Handling: Proficiency in handling cash transactions accurately and securely
- POS (Point of Sale) Systems: Familiarity with operating a POS system for sales transactions
- Interviewing: Skill in conducting interviews to hire qualified candidates for open positions
