Materials Handler

Our Supply Chain team is seeking a positive, customer service oriented individual to join their team. The idaeal candidate will be comfortable working for 10 hours on their feet, in a fast-paced enviroment, as well as able to work both individually and in a team. Position Summary:

Receives, unpacks, checks, and stores merchandise or materials.

Responsibilities:

• Fills requisitions and orders
• Delivers and maintains supplies for all departments of the hospital
• Packs, crates, and ships products and materials. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures related to Materials Management
• Works under general supervision
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
• Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
• Typical equipment used in a clinical job
• Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
• Pushing with mechanical assistance heavy equipment and supplies up to 1000 pounds
