POSITION SUMMARY:
Seeking a highly organized and experienced Transportation Supervisor to assist overseeing the transportation department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen attention to detail, and a deep understanding of transportation. They will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of all daily activities, including coordinating transportation schedules, providing sales and customer support, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of terminal operations with overall company objectives.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records and reports related to terminal activities.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Develop and implement procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
• Assist with overseeing the day-to-day operations of transportation, including scheduling, dispatching, and routing.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation industry.
Class A preferable
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices.
Proficiency in relevant computer applications and software.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods of time, bend, twist, squat, climb in and out of truck
Physical ability to lift, carry, and position: up to 30 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
Must be able to constantly bend, reach above shoulder, grasp objects, climb, kneel, squat, twist and stand throughout shift.
Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls.
Working in multiple environments and inclement weather
