Job Summary:
Produces product by performing a wide range of metal fabricating operations.
***This is a weekend shift position...Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6am to 6:30 pm. Works 36 hours gets paid for 40.
Major Accountabilities:
1. Works from complex blueprints and performs the fabrication operations to manufacture the part to print.
2. Has a broad knowledge and ability of fabrication practices such as welding, forming, punching, burning layout work and sawing.
3. Maintains a high degree of productivity.
4. Recommends improvements in designs and procedures to team leader.
5. Versatile on all the equipment and practices used within the fabrication shop and selects the correct equipment application to complete each task.
6. Must be able to setup and operate a CNC Press Brake, have a full understanding of metal forming from setup to completion, including all bend calculation for various materials types and die sets.
7. Maintains a safe working environment utilizing safety procedures and keeps all work areas clean and free from debris.
8. Work is free from errors or omissions, with attention to details, avoiding the necessity to perform additional work to complete it.
9. Properly record all time entries to daily time sheets and correctly completing all information for syteline. This shall include Job Number, Quantity worked on, if completed or not, drawing number, and task number.
10. Return all prints in order with completed parts to team leader. With appropriate initials and greenlines per company quality process QP-009.
Working Conditions:
Working environment is generally favorable with adequate lighting and temperature. Work may require bending, lifting up to fifty (70) pounds. Pulling, pushing, sitting, reaching, and standing for up to ten (10) hours per day. Must wear personal protective equipment as required.
Minimum Education Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Years of Experience Required:
Three (3) years of related experience.
