We are seeking a skilled and experienced Director of Accounts Receivable to join our finance team and lead our accounts receivable function with precision and efficiency.
**Position Overview: **
As the Director of Accounts Receivable, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounts receivable process, including billing, collections, credit management, and customer relations. You will lead a team of AR specialists and collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of receivables while maintaining strong relationships with customers.
**Key Responsibilities: **
1. **Strategic Planning: ** Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to optimize the accounts receivable process, improve cash flow, and minimize bad debt exposure.
2. **Billing and Invoicing: ** Oversee the accurate and timely generation of invoices and billing statements, ensuring compliance with customer contracts, pricing agreements, and billing terms.
3. **Collections Management: ** Implement effective collections strategies to reduce past due balances and minimize aging receivables. Monitor collection activities and escalations, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners as needed.
4. **Credit Risk Management: ** Evaluate and establish credit limits for new and existing customers based on credit worthiness and risk assessment. Monitor customer credit profiles and payment trends, taking proactive measures to mitigate credit risk exposure.
5. **Customer Relations: ** Cultivate strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact for accounts receivable inquiries, disputes, and escalations. Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally to maintain customer satisfaction.
6. **Reporting and Analysis: ** Develop and maintain comprehensive accounts receivable reports and metrics to track performance, aging trends, and key performance indicators. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
**Qualifications: **
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in accounts receivable management, with at least 1 years in a leadership role overseeing AR operations.
- Thorough understanding of accounts receivable principles, practices, and regulations, with a focus on billing, collections, credit management, and customer relations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage ,SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, ) and Microsoft Excel; experience with accounts receivable management systems is a plus.
