MEYERS is Hiring an Accounting Clerk Near Brooklyn, MN
The Accounting Clerk assists various members of the Accounting/Finance Department with specific designated duties in such areas as Credit, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General ledger as dictated by the needs of the Accounting/Finance Department.
Duties And ResponsibilitiesCredit / Accounts Receivable:
- Apply cash receipts against outstanding invoices.
- Process customer invoices.
- Prepare credit analysis for all new customer accounts.
- Engage as needed with customers and internal team members to resolve past due invoices, overunder payments, and invoice inquiries.
- Monitor ongoing customer order & payment patterns for potential changes to credit terms.
- Maintains necessary customer account and credit documentation.
- Review daily timecards for completeness and error correction.
- Knowledge of general accounting practices and procedures
- Ability to collaborate well with a variety of people.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with customers and fellow employees.
- Good organizational skills and detail oriented
- Proficiency with data entry, PC/Mac software, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Performs all duties in accordance with corporate work policies and procedures, and Federal, State, local and company safety rules.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline strongly desired.
