BASIC FUNCTION:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of warehouse personnel and ensuring the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the warehouse. The Warehouse Supervisor will also ensure that customer’s requirements are met, and operations are compliant with company and customer policies and procedures.

RESPSONSIBLITIES:

• Provides direct supervision to warehouse personnel ensuring their professional and personal training and development, safety and equal opportunity
• Plans and organizes work schedules and gives assignments; maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction, efficiency, safety and accuracy at the lowest practicable cost, while maintaining loading and unloading schedules in an organized and timely fashion
• Ensures that housekeeping and sanitation levels are maintained, that the warehouse is kept neat, organized and that damage to product and facilities is prevented
• Prepares and maintains various records and reports for both customer and company use. Review daily paperwork for completeness and accuracy. Perform independent checks of inbounds and outbounds as part of your internal security process
• Works with customers, vendors and carriers to ensure customer satisfaction and cost effectiveness
• Ensures that equipment is maintained in good, safe working order and that proper levels of supplies are maintained
• Assists in planning space utilization on inbound shipments and new accounts, and in improving efficiency and cost control in all operations
• Conducts cycle counts and assist in physical inventories
• Ensures that all inbound and outbound shipments are correct, and that tight inventory control and security is maintained
• Provide direction and example in following the company’s philosophies
• Perform duties, projects, and assignments within the normal time span and workday
• Communicate with customer service, management and other appropriate individuals regarding daily issues
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and safely lift, turn, position and transfer product accordingly
• Must meet the job and skill requirements of a Warehouse Supervisor
• Must have strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Must have the flexibility to work any shift required by customer and business needs
• Must have a satisfactory background check
• Must successfully complete training and requirements to operate a forklift
• Must comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards
• Ability to work in harsh conditions, both hot/cold environments
• 1-2 years forklift experience, required
• 1-2 years warehouse experience, required
• 1-2 years supervisory experience, preferred
• Forklift Certified, preferred
