We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team in Brewster. This is a temporary position with the potential for permanent employment based on performance. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including general plumbing, electrical work, motor repairs, routine maintenance, heavy cleaning, and special projects within a warehouse environment. If you have experience in maintenance and repair, possess a strong work ethic, and enjoy working with a team, we encourage you to apply.
Week Structure:
- Electrical Work: Approximately 15-20% of the time.
- Preventative Maintenance: Approximately 70% of the time.
- Repairs, Cleaning, Misc. Special Projects: Approximately 10% of the time.
- Plumbing: Rarely required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently.
- Stamina to stand for long periods while performing maintenance tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to take direction well and work both independently and in a team.
- Experience in maintenance and repair work.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Perform general plumbing, electrical, and motor repairs in a warehouse setting.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspection activities to ensure the smooth operation of facilities.
- Handle heavy cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with special projects as assigned by the manager.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and follow directions accordingly.
- Hourly wage of $20.
