The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and production industry knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management for effective financial control.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to establish realistic financial targets.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial forecasts based on market trends and production projections.
- Financial Reporting:
- Generate and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
- Present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
- Cost Control:
- Monitor and analyze production costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Implement and maintain cost control measures to optimize operational performance.
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee the accounting for inventory, including valuation and reconciliation.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure accurate tracking of raw materials and finished goods.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Supervise and mentor finance and accounting staff.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a minimum of 5 years in finance and accounting.
- Knowledge of food production industry practices and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in financial modeling and ERP systems.
