Certified Hand Therapy Services, LLC, is a leading Physical and Occupational Hand Therapy Clinic committed to delivering exceptional patient care. We are looking for a dedicated Medical Billing and Collection Specialist to join our team and ensure the efficient handling of our billing and collection processes.
As a Medical Billing and Collection Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the billing processes, ensuring accurate and timely submissions of medical claims, and overseeing the collection of payments. Your role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of our practice while supporting our mission of providing top-quality healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Review, process and submit medical claims to insurance companies utilizing WebPT/Therabill Software.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and work with insurance companies to resolve issues.
- Investigate and appeal denied claims.
- Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts.
- Manage patient billing inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain accurate records of billing and collection activities.
- Generate and review billing reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure proper documentation and coding.
Qualifications:
-A high school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in medical billing preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and collections.
- Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records systems.
- Strong understanding of insurance guidelines, medical terminology, and coding (CPT, ICD-10, DME).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance.
