We are hiring an experienced Architect/Project Manager to join our team, starting as soon as possible. Applicants should have extensive experience leading projects in several disciplines (multi-family required), should be extremely organized, and should have a keen eye for detail. Duties & Responsibilities:
· Lead project teams and mentor staff to ensure efficient and effective utilization of time.
· Determine amount and type of staff to execute projects.
· Ensure the project conforms to client requirements and architectural program, code requirements, and company mission.
· Manage and oversee the progression of projects. Establish and monitor project budget. Ensure project progresses in accordance with budget and client expectations.
· Create and monitor project schedules using project management software.
· Establish regular client meetings and attend with appropriate team and consultants as required by contract scope.
· Review contract drawings and specifications for completeness, accuracy, and coordination. Confirm that clarifications and corrections are made, if required.
· Control project profitability and liability exposure on behalf of Sopher Sparn.
· Create additional service directives and sign additional services with approval of studio leadership.
· Function as the main point of contact with client and city agencies
· Review project billings to ensure accuracy.
· Monitor project receivables and assist in the collection of receivables.
· Participate in writing proposals.
Preferred Experience:
· A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university
· State of Colorado licensure preferred
· A minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience
· Experienced in construction document preparation and field observation
· Experience in dealing with governmental agencies and building/zoning codes
· Appropriate knowledge of engineering disciplines to evaluate and coordinate work done by consultants
· Experience in multifamily architecture at a minimum, other disciplines encouraged
· Excellent communication skills on paper and in person; proven to work well in teams and independently
· Exemplary organizational and leadership skills
· Experienced in architectural project management systems
