Job Title: Physical Therapist (Allied)
Location: Boulder, CO
Payrate: $52/hourly
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Shift: 8hr Day
Description / Comment
  • Address: 112 Kia Drive, Suite B LaGrange GA
  • Outpatient Experience is preferred.
  • Will accept New Grads? YES
  • Will accept First Time Travelers? YES
  • Float to other clinics: NO
  • Patient Population: general orthopaedic
  • 36 hours guaranteed with the expectation of working up to 40 hours.
  • OT must be approved by director before any OT hours are worked.
  • Productivity expectation is 60 visits/ week; Will see 12-14 patients/day; Double-booking of follow up visits expected.
Position Overview
A Physical Therapist (PT) is an allied health professional who evaluates, diagnoses, and treats individuals with physical impairments or disabilities resulting from injury, illness, or aging. Physical Therapists work to improve patients' movement, manage pain, and prevent disability through customized treatment plans that include exercises, manual therapy, and other interventions. They are essential members of the healthcare team, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for their patients.
Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment and Diagnosis:
    • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, movement, strength, and function.
    • Use diagnostic tools and techniques to identify impairments and establish a baseline for treatment.
    • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals, diagnosis, and prognosis.
  • Treatment Planning and Implementation:
    • Design and implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving mobility, strength, and function.
    • Utilize exercises, manual therapy, equipment, and other modalities to address specific patient needs.
    • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercises, and lifestyle modifications to support recovery and prevent further injury.
Qualifications
  • Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: State licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Certification: Optional certifications in specialized areas of physical therapy, such as orthopedics, sports, geriatrics, or neurology, are advantageous.
  • Experience: Clinical experience through internships or previous employment in a physical therapy setting.
  • Skills:
    • Strong diagnostic and clinical reasoning skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient interaction and teamwork.
    • Proficiency in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
    • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual therapy and assist patients with exercises.
Working Conditions
Physical Therapists typically work in diverse settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes, and private practices. The job may involve standing for long periods, lifting patients, and performing manual therapy, requiring physical endurance and strength. PTs often work full-time, and some positions may require evening or weekend hours to accommodate patients' schedules.
