Your Tasks:

• Manage HR team responsible for hourly employees, benefits and training.
• Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
• Planning as it relates to budget (expenses), headcount, forecasting, etc.
• Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures to deliver superior employee relations; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; manages benefit and leave administration.
• Leads the standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce. Manage temporary agencies.
• Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Maintains organizational charts and employee picture directory.
• Evaluates reports, decisions and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
• Works with Supervisors to ensure appropriate training and development for hourly employees; manage training center.
• Champion for continuous improvement (BPS); expected to recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to affect our continuous improvement program.
• Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.

Your profile:

• 8-10 years of experience
• Four year college degree from a University Master's degree in human resource management preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar management role; preferably in the automotive industry/ Union.
