We are a food distributor that distributes product wholesale to local business owners. This position is as a second-hand to the CEO, where they will oversee all internal operations of the business.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales and Operations Manager to join our team. The Sales and Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our sales processes, managing key accounts, and driving business development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outside sales, technical sales, and account management, with a proven track record of success. This is a leadership role that requires the ability to analyze market trends, manage a sales team, and drive revenue growth. This individual will also be responsible for conducting all internal operations below:
Duties:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives
- Manage and grow key accounts, building strong relationships with clients
- Lead business development efforts to identify new opportunities and expand market reach
- Proven experience in business development, account management, and outside sales
- Strong technical sales background with the ability to understand complex products
- Creating purchase orders for our suppliers
- Maintaining an accurate inventory level for all order fulfillment
- Obtaining orders from customers, inputting them into the system and invoicing them accurately
- Communicate with customers to address any concerns or issues related to deliveries or product questions
- Arranging freight for pickups with multiple 3rd party carriers
- Logistical and routing efficiency for all outgoing deliveries
- Communication and assistance to/with delivery
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries, including invoices and delivery logs
- Receiving incoming shipments and checking all quantities for accuracy and condition
- Unload, rotate and organize all incoming shipments
- Maintaining a clean work environment in warehouse
- Picking/palletizing all outgoing orders accurately and ensuring safe packaging for transit
- Creating and maintaining proper documentation and records of all files
Qualifications:
- 4 year college degree or higher with at least 4 years in a managerial or sales position
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Trouble-shoot and problem solve quickly in any environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical stamina to handle repetitive lifting and carrying of heavy objects
