Position Summary

The Transportation Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating shipments from origin to destination to ensure effective, timely and compliant movement and delivery of shipments. The ideal candidate must display the ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in Sales, Customer Service, Sourcing, and Purchasing teams to streamline and coordinate logistics/fulfillment operations. This position will assist all supply chain groups by providing logistical support with product returns, processing freight claims, maintaining and communicating transit time reporting metrics. This position will report to the Transportation Manager.

Responsibilities

· Support shipping teams with FTL freight requests and carrier communication.

· Provide track and trace support with parcel and LTL shipments.

· Assist with container demand planning and communications to freight forwarders.

· Assist with track and trace for Direct Import CNF shipments.

· Process freight claims as needed.

· Assist with product returns as needed.

· Support invoice freight audits as needed.

· Any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in business with a major in Supply Chain, Finance, or Logistics.

Required Skills

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite - Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel / Word

· Experience with spreadsheets, Pivot tables, V-Lookup, and H-lookup is a must.

· Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail.

· Ability to prioritize multiple projects daily with excellent follow up.

· Ability to work outside normal business hours and additional hours as needed.

· Familiar with logistics and production planning concepts desired.

· Basic accounting / bookkeeping principles preferred.

· Infor and TMS experience are a plus.
