Director of Nursing candidate sought for licensed and accredited two room Ambulatory Surgery Center (“ASC”). The appropriate candidate would be responsible for developing and maintaining written objective policies, procedure manuals, and quality assurance programs. Must maintain nursing policies and procedures. Participate in planning and budgeting for the nursing services, supervising the purchasing of supplies and major equipment purchases. Oversees inventory control, QM/PI infection control. The candidate should be able to ensure the staffing patterns are implemented, staffing of OR, staffing of PACU, scheduling of procedures. Also, must be responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and documenting medical waste. Handles all clinical personnel issues, assisting in developing and maintaining written job descriptions for clinical personnel and assigning duties. Overseeing house keeping and sanitation. Overseeing the pick-up of pathology specimens, associated documentation, and tumor registry requirements. Must be responsible for the fire and safety training. Must be able to communicate with courtesy when interacting with patients, physicians, employees, surgical schedulers, vendors, and the public - in person, on the telephone, or by email.

Guides and directs the nurses in the conversion of goals and objective to concrete nursing administrative activities. Works flexible hours in assuming responsibly and accountability to provide optimal patient care. Relieves other nurses, as necessary. Manages the clinical and nursing staffing patterns and evaluates the need for overtime or per diem nurses to meet the patient care requirements. Reviews established goals and objectives to participate in the planning and evaluating of new programs and or special projects.

Qualified candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Current RN license in NJ required

• 2 years Nursing Management experience required
• Completion of BLS Course.
• Completion of ACLS Course with current ACLS certification.
• Completion and documentation of current PALS certification.
